While cute, these insects do major damage to the natural flora and fauna. when feeding, they excrete a substance called honeydew, and this substance is a growing point for all sorts of mold deadly to trees and plants.
America has used call to action posters for as long as we have existed. They are effective at getting citizens to take charge, and more importantly, to donate to whatever cause is in need.
Reclaiming these problematic and manipulative pieces of history is a way of honoring the good parts of america, while addressing a current problem.
